Primitive Bunny
What do you think is behind the desire to own another person, or be owned?
I am currently in a Master/slave relationship and I’m curious about what kind of parts are under the hood.
Neither my partner nor I were abused as children, and are –according to our psychologists and relationship counselor–otherwise normal. No deep seated self loathing or racist, misogynist control fantasies. Even so I really do see myself as her owner, and my partner sees herself as my property. This is real for us, and feels normal.
Nosy little bunny that I am, I’d be interested in knowing why. The inner workings of the human mind are a fascinating subject. ^_^
So, is this just some primitive instinct at work, or is it something else? What’s your take on this?
Amoré: not sure about the rest, but I would agree that we are interdependent. The best way I can describe our relationship is “symbiotic.”
Never_hold_back: You’re wrong. Both my partner and I are in perfect agreement on this issue. She is mine, literally, and prefers it that way.
I wonder the same thing. Although I have never been in that type of relationship, in a way I can see the appeal.
More than gore
They’re not sexy creatures, these zombies. Nope. There’s absolutely nothing alluring about them in AMC’s evocative, suspenseful new series “The Walking Dead.” Called simply “walkers,” they amble aimlessly in droves through the post-apocalyptic streets of Atlanta, bodies stiff with rigor mortis, skin hanging off their bloodied faces, mouths chomping pointlessly. They have vacant eyes, no souls.
